Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of prayer and personal preparation for the coming celebration of Easter.
The early church connected the Lenton season to Jesus’ temptation in the desert… like our going with Him into the wilderness to face the greatest of enemies. The place where we, once again, recognize our powerlessness.
Jesus will have to do everything.
Join me and millions of Christians across the world in reflection this Lent. Let us sweep the floor of our souls to make way for the saving King.

As you move through your day, prayerfully survey the landscape of your life… are there any debris preventing you from fully enjoying the freedom of Jesus’ post-resurrection life? Identify each one, make a list, feel their weight as you carry them into the desert with Jesus.
